How Era Interiors operates, what we build, and the limits of our engagement.
Era Interiors is a custom fabrication atelier operating in New York. We design, fabricate, and install bespoke cabinetry, architectural woodwork, and soft furnishings for private residences. We are not licensed architects, engineers, or general contractors. We do not provide architectural services, structural engineering, mechanical or electrical work, or construction management of any kind. Our scope is the furnishings and millwork themselves — from specification through fabrication and installation.

Era accepts commissions for custom millwork and soft furnishings for private residential clients. Each project is accepted individually based on scope, schedule, and fit. Acceptance of an inquiry does not constitute acceptance of a commission. A project begins when a written proposal is issued and a deposit is received.
Era's installation work is limited to the placement and securing of completed furnishings and millwork. All structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing conditions required for Era's work are the responsibility of the client's licensed contractor and design team.
Era maintains fabrication facilities and employs craftspeople directly. On projects requiring additional capacity — in fabrication, installation, or specialist trades — Era engages experienced workers and tradespeople under Era's direct supervision and within Era's operational structure. All work performed under an Era commission is Era's responsibility regardless of who performs it. We do not subcontract project management or client relationships. The work is ours.
All drawings, specifications, design documents, reference materials, and written content produced by Era Interiors are the intellectual property of Era Interiors LLC. This includes the reference collections published at erainteriors.com.
The reference collections are published for informational purposes. They may be read, shared, and cited. They may not be reproduced, republished, or incorporated into other commercial materials without written permission.
Shop drawings and fabrication documents produced for a specific commission remain Era's intellectual property. Clients receive completed, installed work — not the drawings or specifications used to produce it.
Era's liability on any project is limited to the value of the work performed under the relevant proposal. Era is not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages of any kind.
Natural materials — wood, stone, textile fiber — exhibit inherent variation in appearance, dimension, and behavior. This variation is not a defect. Era designs for the natural behavior of materials; we do not warrant against it.
Era's engagement on a project ends at completion and client acceptance. We do not offer extended warranties, maintenance programs, or post-project service agreements on residential installations.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising from an Era commission or from use of this website are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York County.
